New restaurants in Amsterdam to visit tonight

On the hunt for the best new restaurants in Amsterdam? We’re here to help.

New restaurants open in Amsterdam almost every day, but how do you separate the great from the good? Well, we've done the hard work for you (no big deal, of course, to try out all the amazing new hotspots). And we’ve rounded up a list with our favourite new restaurants. These are the hotspots you want to book today.

1. Yuzu Dining Bar

After a successful launch in The Hague, Yuzu opens its doors in Amsterdam. This modern Japanese Yakitori bar, founded by three friends, has a surprising menu bursting with Asian influences. Yuzu combines the best of Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisine with a "head to tail" policy. Good news: their popular signature dishes are on the menu in Amsterdam too, such as the 'Crispy Rice Chips' and 'Chicken Gyoza'. Come try and taste it from Wednesday through Saturday.

Location: Kerkstraat 59, Amsterdam

2. Next NDSM

What’s next? Next on the NDSM-werf! All you need to know: shared dining, open daily, Amsterdam-Noord, and an amazing interior. High windows and an impressive bar. Next is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a drink until (according to the website) as late as possible. Hop on the ferry and step right into the spacious building. The menu features a variety of dishes inspired from all over the world (very vegan-friendly).

Locatie: NDSM-Kade 2, Amsterdam

3. Poppy's

Yes, yet another new vegan gem to add to our list of favourite vegan restaurants: Poppy’s. This vegan paradise will satisfy even the most enthusiastic carnivore. Fish or meat lover? Poppy's also serves meat and fish dishes. But whatever you decide to eat, all the bites are tasty (and will look good on ‘the Gram’). Let’s discover this new shared dining and finger food concept in the middle of the Pijp. Highly recommended!

Location: Lutmastraat 99, Amsterdam

4. Miri Mary

In the middle of the Pijp district, you’ll find the best Indian dishes at Miri Mary. In this new restaurant, the founders show their love for India's most famous, most beloved spice: miri! Or as we know it, black peppercorn. This is all you need to know: delicious papadums, a relaxed atmosphere and a hip interior. Oh, and you should try the "watermelon mezcal”!

Location: Van der Helstplein 15, Amsterdam

5. Chateau Amsterdam

Chateau is expanding and is opening a new location! Are you already familiar with Chateau Amsterdam? This urban winery in Amsterdam-Noord, has now opened a restaurant where you can combine its delicious wines with the tastiest Italian dishes. What to expect? Good wine, white tablecloths and (hopefully not) a hangover.

Location: Johan van Hasseltweg 51, Amsterdam

6. Sins of Sal

In the mood for Mexican guilty pleasures? On the Westerstraat - in the middle of the Jordaan - you will find Sins of Sal; your new spot for Latin American street food. Enjoy their delicious bites in a dark fancy atmosphere (think: red fluorescent lights, dimmed lights, intimate vibes) while sipping tasty cocktails. Sins of Sal also pours your favourite (natural) wines. Spicy. Playful. Intimate.

Location: Westerstraat 86, Amsterdam

7. Oocker

In October, Oocker opened its doors - around the corner from Utrechtsestraat at Frederiksplein. A 'restobar' - although we think it’s an excellent wine bar with amazing food. The name Oocker refers to the striking colour of the beautiful glazed (ochre-coloured) bricks. Grab a seat at the bar, by the window, or choose a lounge spot near the kitchen (or on the sunny patio). With more than 100 wines, you'll always have a reason to come back. Oh, and the charcuterie plate? Yes, you should definitely order it!

Location: Frederiksplein 29, Amsterdam

8. Le French Café

A new addition to the 3WO family: Le French Café. It’s a contemporary brasserie on the bustling Javastraat in Amsterdam-Oost. Grab a menu, order fresh bread, delicious wines and all the French classics. Think: artichokes, scallops, oysters, tartare de boeuf, fresh fish and côte de boeuf. And, of course, a cheese plate. Bon appétit!

Location: Javastraat 42, Amsterdam

9. Levenslang Amsterdam

The new hotspot in the former Bijlmer prison – it’s one of those places you want to check out. The menu includes bao buns, fish & chips, fried chicken, and vegan options. What to expect? It's a brewery (Eeuwige Jeugd), a food pop-up and a nightclub combined.

Location: H.J.E. Wenckebachweg 48, Amsterdam
